For its first birthday, cat-saving platform-shooter Scram Kitty DX got a 'Split Arms' update. It's not as painful as it might sound. The idea of the game is to whip around on the rails that line the walls of a giant space station while shooting the rats that get in your way. You're trying to save your abducted cat, you see.Previously, the shooting was limited in that you could only fire straight in front of you. I have no mouth and i must scream am.

But this 'Split Arms' update gives the game a twin-stick shooter redress. In other words, you can move with one analogue stick and aim your guns with the other. This means you have more flexibility when trying to dodge bullets. Subscribe to onNot only that, but the update also makes your movement quicker, and the recoil on the guns has been lessened to allow for more fluid evasive freedom. All is demonstrated in the video above.Don't fret if you liked the challenge that the 'straight-shooting' controls provided, as it's still there.Developer Dakko Dakko is just hoping that those that prefer twin-stick shooters might give the game a go now with this new option. So, if that includes you, perhaps consider picking up Scram Kitty DX on the PSN Store. It has cross-buy between the PS4 and PS Vita versions too.
