Super Animal Royale is a furry take on the popular Battle Royale genre, pitting 64 players against one another in a furocious fight to the finish! The players all take command of a fox, panda, or sloth, and then they enter a 2D battlefield where the fur will fly! The world is vast, and full of different biomes, psychotic enemy animals, gigantic hamster balls, and other such insanity.

Another battle royale game? You bet your britches! Only this time we get to play as absolutely adorable creatures and collect weapon skins, clothes and accessories, and DNA to unlock more animals. Takes place in a safari park gone all wrong and has a unique top down and cartoony gameplay that makes it unique in what’s becoming a saturated genre. GameplayGameplay for SAR is easy, but may take some getting used to for most players. The top down view gives you a good look at the playing field, but leaves enough room to hide.

You aim by simply hovering over the enemy character with your cursor and clicking the mouse to shoot. Movement is standard WASD and weapon selection is 1-4. Remapping keys is easy, if you prefer to use mouse buttons like I do!.You drop from the cargo carrying eagle and parachute onto the map. Traveling distance from drop to land isn’t a long time so going far from the path isn’t possible. Once you land you’ll need to find gear.

You start with a melee weapon, a sword by standard until you earn other skinned items. There are slots for 2 guns and either bananas or grenades. You can wear level 1, 2, or 3 armor vests and collect up to 200 health juice at a time.In this game it’ll be you vs 63 other people, not the usual 100. Currently you can play solos or duos but squad mode is coming.

There is a free demo version to play on with the standard edition being $13 and the founder’s edition is $26, with lots of extra goodies. The Divine VerdictI saw this game one day on Twitter and had to have it. For those that don’t know, I’ve been a Fortnite Battle Royale player since it released and I love the genre plus the cartoonish art (vs PUBG’s realistic look). Super Animal Royale is simplistic and it’s relaxing to play for me because it’s no pressure just fun. It’s definitely going to be staying on my rotation for a while.
